Butterfingers...YUM!

Well I found this nifty no bake recipe for butterfinger bar things. As weird as it sounds, you just melt 1 lb of candy corn together with 16oz of peanut butter. Voila!!! You just melt chocolate over the top, and there you have it! WARNING: This is extremely messy...but also extremely tasty :) Enjoy!!!

Auburn Shoes and Toilet Paper...In the AU spirit!!!

So I did a couple crafts the past few days. My roommates have been ever so sweet to collect toilet paper rolls for me. A few scissor snips, some hot glue, and a few burnt fingers later, I have a new decorative wall thingy haha. I'm planning on glueing it to a canvas and making it a little more...attractive :)

The other day, my mom and I went to target (shout out to my mother who I absolutely love hanging out and eating pretzels with!) We got a pair of ked type shoes (white ones) for $9.99. BARGAINS! So, in the Auburn spirit, I dyed for the first time! Say hello to my new bright orange shoes! They'll be perfect for all the Auburn basketball games I am going to attend coming up! War Eagle to that!!!

You should try it!

Love,
Susie :)

More Glue Art

I got in the painting mood again and threw this little piece together. I just wrote out the letters in glue, painted it, then did a little finger painting :)

Art Project! 2 Peter 3:18

"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen." -2 Peter 3:18

Taking inspiration from this verse, I went online and found a neat design of a flower and went to work :) I just drew out the flower on a canvas, traced over it with Elmer's glue, painted the whole thing blue, washed some of it out with a wet q-tip, and then added in colored details with some random colors of Sharpie :) I think it turned out pretty well for a whole new method of art work.

(Above) It will look like this after the glue dries.

Just use a wet q-tip to wash out some of the color.
Then add a little color with some sharpies :)

Rocky Road Brownies

So I half made this recipe up, half heard it from somewhere...either way...these are the best brownies I have ever made (and I make a lot of brownies).

You just make a normal batch of box brownies, then cover the top with chocolate covered marshmallows. (you make these by melting semisweet chocolate chips then mixing marshmallows into it after it comes off the heat).

ENJOY!!!

Adorable Wreath!

Susie Homemaker is at it again. I found this really cute tutorial for a wreath and decided to make one for my mom and her husband (P is for Pruett). It's super easy! I took a trip to Hobby Lobby and had the thing made by the end of the afternoon.

This tutorial will help with the flower making:

T-Shirt Scarf/Necklace!

"She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands." Proverbs 31:13

I wasn't feeling too great tonight, so naturally I laid down and browsed through pintrest. I saw this adorable DIY online. I had a t-shirt lying around and decided to try it. All you do is cut the hem off the bottom of the shirt, then cut 1-1.5 inch strips across the t-shirt (creating a big loop). Then you just stretch out the loops and drape them however you want to. Check it out!!!

Of course, I ended up adding 3 ribbon bows just to add a little something extra. Love love love this!

Candy Corn Bark

Proverbs 31: 15 "...she provides food for her family..."

I came across this recipe for candy corn bark and decided to give it a whirl. http://www.kraftrecipes.com/recipes/howling-candy-corn-cookie-56438.aspx

The recipe was super easy. You just crush some oreos and pretzels. Melt white chocolate (be really careful about trying to do this in a microwave - I definitely burned the first batch haha). Then pour the white chocolate over the top of the oreos and pretzels. Top it with candy corn, and you're done!

Rating - Mine didn't set up too well, so it didn't exactly break like bark...but hey, it tasted great! Who doesn't love eating straight out of the pan with a spoon?
