Colored Pencil Cow...MOO!

I decided rather than a craft, I would do a quick art project. We did this my sophomore year of high school, and I have been dying to try it again!

1)Find a fun picture you want to recreate and print it off. (I printed mine out with almost no ink. It was ok because you just need the general shape. I looked at the picture on my computer for the colors)
2) Graph the picture off VERY LIGHTLY with pencil. Make sure you remember which side you started graphing off on when you start to draw the lines. I did each of mine the width of the ruler. (It's ok to have an odd square on the far side from where the squares don't measure out perfectly with the picture)
3) Measure your picture. On another sheet of paper, draw a box the size of the picture. Graph it off the same way you did your picture. Make sure you start from the same side you started from on your picture.
4) In pencil, sketch in each individual box from the picture to the paper you graphed off.
(Breaking it up into boxes helps draw the picture proportionally because you only have to worry about 1 inch at a time rather than the entire picture)
5) Fill in with colored pencil - But erase the boxes you drew with pencil as you go along - They will show up under the color pencil otherwise

Fun tips
-going over colors with the white colored pencil helps blend the colors
-layering colors helps it looked more filled in
-go for a more solid background color so it's not distracting
-erasers do work pretty well, even with colored pencils
-if there is white space, still fill it in with the white colored pencil
     -HAVE FUN!!!!!

Moo
Susie :)
